Easter Continued Again...

Easter Afternoon
It's a must to dye eggs on Easter so Lily took a stab at it... and it turned out surprisingly well! She had super fun and it went right along with her new lessons-- COLORS! There was a little confusion but we managed to not have 6 brown/black eggs so I call that an A+

HAPPY EASTER!

Easter Continued...

Easter Morning
We woke up early and celebrated the resurrection of Christ!
Lily was a little more in tune with what the 5 little monkeys were doing... But she was a QUIET little church goer!!!

This is the back view of the Easter dress. Thank you Aunt Betty for this wonderful find. Lily has worn this for a whole year now. Shhh... same dress as last Easter, mother's day and 2 weddings-- It's beautiful and we love to wear to it!
The early service means a little extra play before brunch!

Play time + a quick nap... and then a lot of more Easter and family FUN!

Still a little weary about that bunny.
The bunny was really great though and tried so hard to get Lily to warm up and get a snapshot picture... but Lily wasn't going to be fooled. She just wasn't so sure about that questionable bunny.
After a couple of attempts of the baby in bunny's lap picture, we settled for numerous high fives!

The best part about holidays is being with our family. Big, small and all...

Lily is really starting to appreciate having all those cuzzies!!! She's acts like a big kid now...

And a really cool one too...

Bebe Kate and Lily!!

What's a beautiful day without BUBBLES on the patio

They are like magic!!
HAPPY EASTER!!!

EASTER

As you know we are always a little behind on our blogging, so... Happy Easter!

We began our Easter festivities with an Easter egg hunt with our good friends the Seaton's and their sweet baby Kennedy
Lily likes Kennedy
Lily likes to hug Kennedy
Oh, Lily loves Kennedy

 Lily met the Easter bunny...
She was interested but slighty cautious.

But there was no time to worry with giant bunnies....
It was time to hunt some eggs!!!

Get ready....

Get set...

GO!!!!!
And she's off...

Lily was the best and fastest egg hunter of the 2 years and under group.
We were a little skeptical if she would get the concept but she was on a roll!
I guess she got alot of practice at school; they studied all about Easter, made baskets and had an egg hunt.
She had learned that there was some kind of goodies in those eggs- so mid hunt after each find she had to open each egg to make sure it was valuable.
We also had problems depositing the eggs. Lily wanted to go fast, fast, fast! That meant Mama wasn't always a step behind with the basket so Lily would have a couple tucked under her chin and a few under her arm. It was pretty fun to watch her determination and excitement!

Lily was a prize winner in her age group. She recieved a Velveteen Rabbit and lots of  "CAKE" (cake = cake, chocolate, sucker, candy, ice cream and anything sweet and tasty that comes after eating all her dinner or in a wrinkley, shiny wrapper)
It took a little while to open each and every egg, shake it, examine it and then move on....

All that really mattered is that there was "CAKE" at the end.

More Easter to come!

Poolside!

Lily had a nice time hanging out with Bobby and Megan at the pool.

Kim bought a bag of Gardetto's and Lily couldn't stop eating them.

She then learned how to get just a little more flavor out of the bag!
