Time for a photoshoot

This week the kids had another photoshoot. Bettie Boyd found a nice backdrop and we ran around them snapping pictures for half an hour.

First they had a discussion by the newly protected socket

Then Andrew did some waving

Eventually there were so many flashes were firing that they couln't even know where to look

Overall Andrew thought the shoot lasted a little longer than it should have

Luckily they were able to pull it together for one more shot.

The Allsopp Acrobat Company

Good news from Woodhill!! Lily is going to join the circus. Thanks to the Allsopp Acrobat Company for supplying her with her first swing. Without them her dream of becoming the smallest non-oriental performer in America will now come true! Soon she will be swingin around like Tarzan. She's free as a breeze, she's always at ease, she lives in the jungle and hangs by her knees as she swings through the trees without a trapeze, in her BVDs.

If this ain't mobile I don't know what is

These are just a couple of videos following Lily around the house. Until watching these I couldn't figure out why I was losing weight without any exercise...but I think I have solved the mystery.
If you pay attention really well you will see Lady Lily pull her chariot over, but just when you think Lily might have hurt herself she hops up and tries to do it again. ENJOY!

A Visit from the O's

The kids had a visit from the Oztekins this week and had a ball! As everyone knows when the O's come around that's when the party gets started. Kids:"So you said 'Try your shoe'? hahahahah Oh Aunt Cacky you're hilarious"

But of course, first and foremost came the infamous cousin height measuring (I didn't have the heart to tell her that this was going to happen every SINGLE Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Easter for the rest of your life)

Then Lily got a little greedy and started taking other people's things... i.e. Andrew's toysBut he didn't seem to mind TOO much

Then Andrew tried to retaliate...

"Victory is mine!"

Prank Callin'

Now that I can go places, I'm going to need call up my peeps for a day out! I'll ring up baby Bebe Kate and see if she can get out for a quick baby minute!

Juice of Fourly

Lily had a great time at the lake celebrating Independence Day! She enjoyed seeing her Great Grandmothers and lots of aunts, uncles and cousins! We started out with a little splashing in the lake with Daddy, Pepaw, Uncle Brian and Anne Layton!

She's a natural Water Baby!

Pepaw was looking out for me and shared his hat!Playing in the sun!
But what do you do when the sun is too hot for baby... and this baby is here to play!
A SunDome! Lily hid from the sun but not the action in her sun tent!
Lily figured the best way to cool off was to put a little wind in her hair while taking the boat for a spin.
Lily was offering boat rides... but didn't seem to have many takers...
Maybe if Daddy lets me borrow his hat... I'll look official!

Captain Lily Rose!
After a long day on the water... Lily tried out some relaxing in the hammock.
"Hey guys, I'm not so sure about this..."
But it proved to be alright!
Lily played 'til she just couldn't play anymore.
We had a fantastic holiday weekend! Lots of fun activities did not get pictured but are worth mentioning like bright colored explosives, BBQing and lots of family! We hope everyone had a happy fourth 2009!

...contd Up and Away

...to the Chinese Buffet! We caught up with the little booger down at the Chinese Buffet for a little culture and a egg roll!!!

Lily loves egg rolls! She chewed on the egg roll until she had egg soup... it was a two for the price of one combo!
Strange... but she also likes lemons... makes my mouth water to watch her! She ate both lemons out of our water until she had no pulp left... then she just chewed the rind.
See daddy... I cleaned my plate... aren't you proud of me?

Up and Away

Lily is UP! She has been practicing for a few weeks now and she's got it.... she can stand up all by herself! She pulls up on her walker, the coffee table and just about anything she can reach! She shuffles around the things and anxiously wants to take off running! But without good balance she is confined to walking only an arms length away from her station... not to worry quite yet!
She is pretty proud of herself!

Crawling has been mastered! She scurries around the house in the blink of an eye! Yes, this means that before you blinked Lily was in front of you and then out of your sight.. just like that! And she has her sight set.... on the lookout!

The time is right... going to make my move!
