Since my sister and I have moved out and this time there is no sign of coming back, Stephen our younger brother has had his eye on the bigger vacant bedrooms. There was also the need for Lily to have a room designed for spend the night parties at Grandma's. We committed to a work weekend for a bedroom switcheroo and after a Saturday full of cleaning, painting and heavy furniture moving. Stephen surrendered his army hideout for Lily to have a cozy place to call her own.
Stephen's room featured the ARMY GREEN walls. I didn't think we were going to keep it at first... I was ready to splash these walls with a little blush and bashful. Pink is Lily's color.
After some consideration that Lily may not be the only grandchild for forever, we decided to leave the 'neutral' gender color and design a kid's room for all future grandbabies's at my parents house. It also cut down on our work tremendously. Charles only had to make touch ups where the airplane border had been.
Charles had a few complaints about his extraordinarily tough boss. She must have really had him working hard.
She was sure to oversee all parts of the project. This is her very own room and she wanted it done RIGHT! "Easy does it boys"
The furniture is the same that Aunt Kate had in her room. Such a charming touch...
